Highlights:
1. 8 to 10 games on Fox 8
2. The rest will be on a new channel available via antenna called "Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment" It should be available in most major LA, MS, and AL markets.
3. Bally's told the Pels they were being dropped. The Pels then entered into discussions with Grey. Bally's came back with a counter offer with more money, but the Pels declined.
Last season, the Bally's games rated an avg of 12,800 households. The Bounce games rated 18,000 households. The Fox 8 games (with Grey affiliates elsewhere) rated 46,000 households. The Pels think the added viewers are more important than the extra fees.

Do you have to have an antenna to watch the majority of games or can it be picked up over the internets? Asking for a friend.

Nothing was said about streaming. My guess is there will be no streaming option for the time being.

Would be a laughably dumb decision, which is why I tend to believe that there will be a streaming option... but this is the Pels we're talking about.

There will most likely be a streaming option that will cost 100-120 a season. Utah and Phoenix both had them last season when they made switch to free over the air broadcast. NBA ran out he streams through the nba app

Awesome, so I really won’t be able to watch any of the games without having to spend an additional $300-500 depending on how much the local streaming service costs!

No, I travel alot for work so I would have to purchase league pass along with whatever local streaming they do.
League pass at $150, then whatever their streaming service costs to watch locally, or having to pay for a VPN. Not to mention already paying $100 a month for DTV which I was always able to watch games on before but won’t be able to now.
In fact with this news everyone outside of New Orleans should prepare for the same, I don’t see them adding a station all over the state

You might not need to double stream Soggy. This is from the Suns Live service:

Despite the fact that the article posted says this very thing. Wherever there is a Gray station, they will add the new sports network. In case you didn't know, there are Gray stations in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Alexandria, Lake Charles, Monroe, Jackson, Biloxi, Hattiesburg, Meridian, Mobile, Birmingham, Montgomery, even Panama City if they want to go that far.
Now, will the local cable carriers add the new channel? Maybe. They carry some of the main stations' extra channels (like MeTV). Will YouTube TV add it? No. There, you will need the antenna.

And I live in the one area that doesn’t have Gray…. Also you have to realize that stuff takes time to put together, it likely won’t be ready day 1. Also kills any recording options to go back and watch via DVR.

Unless my wife can log in and it reset my stream out of state I would still need to double stream with that limitation. When I’m out it's for a few months at a time usually.

For streaming? It's more like they are going to reskin NBA League Pass for the local market which is why the NBA is involved in the streaming side. That's a better option for most small market teams than reinventing the wheel themselves.

It’s only going to be the Gray markets that took part in the OTA games last year

Hit me up st Tammany , New Orleans area . Apollo tv. All PPV ,all sports free . Free movies in theater. Or goggle tvapp . Lots of free tv and free NBA basketball , college basketball, college football , NFL .
