Email signatures

Email salutations or quotes. Some can be misunderstood.
I came across this one and for some reason I was the only one at the office whose mind was in the gutter. Am I just reading it wrong?
“…it’s not who you are underneath, it’s what you do that defines you.”
This just doesn’t seem appropriate for an email salutation. I get what he’s trying to say, but the wording can be misconstrued.

quote:
“…it’s not who you are underneath, it’s what you do that defines you.”
I don't even totally understand the quote. Is it saying appearances do matter? Regardless, a bit strange to have in an office signature.

I received this email this morning from a freight broker. I think it was fr33
quote:
Good morning,
And a joyful Monday too,
A day that dawns with skies so blue.
A fresh week unfolds, with hope in its stride,
New beginnings await, like a gentle tide.
May your work bring joy, pure and bright,
With energy flowing, from morning till night.
I wish you strength, in body and mind,
With health as your treasure, gentle and kind.
And as you journey through the hours that fly,
Please let me know if shipments arise,
For this week, I’m here, ready to assist,
To lighten your load, and cross off the list.
May your heart be light, your spirit high,
As you take on the day with wings to fly.
A new day, a new life, in every breath,
May you find peace and joy, in all that’s left.

How the hell are you making that dirty? Because it includes the word "underneath"?
Dude is literally telling you he's Batman...

He had that as a salutation or as a quote after his sig?
I roll my eyes whenever I see an inspirational quote on somebodies email.

Nobody GAS about any of that.
No C-Suite people do that silly crap.

Please consider the environment before printing this email.
I see it all the time, as if people print emails, and as if paper pulp isn't a renewable bio-resource.

Anybody throwing quotes in signatures sucks.

Except for the person who's signature that was.

if you don't have your pronouns in your sig I won't even respond

I don't even have a signature, just hit enter a couple of to times and type my name on every email.

Pretty sure there's a semester long class in it in secretarial school. Also known as HR school.

People who put quotes in the email signature are so weird. Nobody cares

Mine says

Changed mine a few weeks ago to “I am unburdened by what has been”. If anyone says anything I can call them sexist, racist, or both.

I’ve noticed that I’m seeing email signatures with their preferred pronouns. Mostly from attorneys working out of D.C. I just assume that means that they are also fat and ugly.

Name + appropriate letters
Job title

That's what I got, why a quote?
