The man has been pretty consistent with his political beliefs and that's a great indication of someone with confidence in his core beliefs. In general, you know what to expect from Trump with regards to domestic and foreign policies.

One could argue you know what you're gonna get with a Dim politician such as Kackles and Walz ......chaos and societal decay.

To contrast Trump vs the typical Dim politician just look at Kackles recent pivot on hiring IRS agents to crackdown on workers who are not reporting their tips with their wages, now she's pledging to exclude tips from federal taxation, a complete contradiction to her pledge to prosecute tax cheats.

Then it gets even crazier, now Kackles is pledging to secure the border while telling everyone she was never the Border Czar and it wasn't her gig.

I've even noticed this Dim dude named Kunce who's challenging Hawley in MO for the US Senate has dropped his pro abortion commercials because he's figured out that shite ain't gonna win in MO, now Kunce is gonna secure the border too, right on queue with Kackles pivot.

Dims are political shape shifters. The Dim/Groomer ideology was built on a foundation of lies and deceit.

The guy is a lifelong Democrat who wanted to get into politics and developed a stitch that would play with Wal Mart Republicans. He’s falsely portrayed himself as a Christian to appeal to evangelicals on numerous occasions.

I don't have time to pull all of the sources to give this a proper treatment, but abortion comes to mind

Taking pretty much all sides of the issue at one point or another

Self-described

Trump speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in 2015
Trump registered as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987; since that time, he has changed his party affiliation five times. In 1999, he changed his party affiliation to the Independence Party of New York. In August 2001, Trump changed his party affiliation to Democratic. In September 2009, he changed his party affiliation back to the Republican Party. In December 2011, Trump changed to "no party affiliation" (independent). In April 2012, he again returned to the Republican Party.[4]

In a 2004 interview, Trump told CNN's Wolf Blitzer: "In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat", explaining: "It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Now, it shouldn't be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats...But certainly we had some very good economies under Democrats, as well as Republicans. But we've had some pretty bad disaster under the Republicans."[5] In a July 2015 interview, Trump said that he has a broad range of political positions and that "I identify with some things as a Democrat."[4]

If killing unborn babies is ingrained as a “core beliefs” you might be an evil POS.

Trump is as virtuous as many pseudo Christians who attack him.

Any person who claims to be a Christian and votes for the party of unfettered abortion is struggling with cognitive dissonance on a grand scale.

Give me a major policy that Trump once held dear that he now rejects, there may be one, I just don't recall.

Trump is certainly more old school Democrat than Country Club/US Chamber of Commerce Republican......that should tell you far off the rails the current Dim party truly is.

Not that surprising, a lot of old school Democrats have been struggling with the direction of the Democrat Party over the past 30 years.....I jettisoned the Democrat Party over 30 years ago and never looked back.

This keeps being repeated but is demonstrably false.

Trump was a registered Democrat from 2001 to 2011. At all other points in his life, he was either registered as Republican or Independent.

North Carolina should allow people to “use the bathroom they feel is appropriate,” Donald Trump said this morning of the state’s new law that bans people from using bathrooms that don't match the sex indicated on their birth certificate.

“North Carolina did something that was very strong,” the Republican presidential front-runner told “The Today Show.” “And they're paying a big price,” a reference to the growing economic boycott against the state.

State lawmakers should “leave it the way it is,” he added.

Asked whether Caitlyn Jenner would be free to use any bathroom she wanted if she walked into Trump Tower, he said, “That is correct.”

quote:

Sen. Ted Cruz supports the North Carolina law, bashing Trump's comments as what he called evidence that the New York real estate mogul is too politically correct to be the GOP nominee.

“Donald agreed with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in attacking the state of North Carolina for passing their bathroom ordinance,” Cruz told supporters today at a rally in Frederick, Maryland. “And Donald, on television this morning, said, gosh, he thought that men should be able to go into the girls’ bathroom if they want to. Now let me ask you, have we gone stark raving nuts? This is the political correctness.”

I would think most people don't agree with everything that's on their party's platform and I wish people would stop buying into the bullshite both parties put out there. Something like abortion shouldn't be the one issue people use to pick their president. No matter what you believe, you are not going to change someone else's view on the issue. There are other issues that are more important.

Both parties have a lot of voters because of their stance on this issue. Abortions dont fix economies, don't fund infrastructure and they don't do much for us on the world stage.

On the big issues he sure has been consistent. I have listened to several of his older interviews at different ages and he is talking about a lot of the same issues he is today.

17 years ago Trump was like a lot of Americans, still trying to live in the halcyon vapor of deceit and lies disseminated to the American people by our Federal government, the Bureaucratic State Skunks and Gaslight Media.

Trump choked on a big Red Pill when he ran for POTUS, a lot of Americans have also choked on that big Red Pill over the past 20-25 years.

The consistency is not so much in political policy as bluntly saying what he actually thinks. IE, if Trump said in 1990 that his favorite food was steak and today says it's fish then he isn't flip-flopping. He liked beef better before but changed his taste to fish now. That is consistency in telling the truth. It's very rare among politicians who change their tune according to strategy in getting votes rather than their honest opinion. Like when Al Gore switched from pro life to pro choice 'by evolving on the issue.'
