I figured mine was pretty much over but her having sex with guys behind my back sealed the deal.

I’ll admit to being blindsided. We were working through some stuff, but getting served papers after 25 or so years of marriage and 7 kids was a shocker.

We were having issues but did not realize how bad. She told me as I was leaving the house to get a colonoscopy…true story

Gradually. And then SUDDENLY all at once. It was both shocking and inevitable. Completely unexpected and yet intuitively felt. Unthinkable and yet completely obvious. A tragedy and a Godsend. For both of us- all of that and much more, what 30 years from being adventurous kids to raising a beautiful family would be. It will always be a tragedy, a romantic comedy, a drama, a suspense, a horror film. Everything. Every human emotion and experience and virtue and sin. That’s what happens when two people who deeply love and build decide to be unloving and destroy. Divorce is EVERYTHING.
Edited for proper OT response: Unexpected. I found my wife Crystal in bed with my boss and his sons and three Los Angeles Lakers and killed them all with raw fury and some weaponized truck nuts. Ain’t nothing but a thing…

Blindsided.
- Went to work at 8am.
- neighbor called me at 9 saying there was a moving truck in my driveway.
- called the house, wife said she didn't see the moving truck
- called neighbor to see if she was sure - she replied YES
- 9:30 i get to my house
- wife gone and all her shite is gone

I was blindsided. Came home and found a note on the door "tired of living for everyone else, want to live for me". Opened the door to an empty house and bank account. Told that story on here a few times.

A friend of mine figured it out when upon returning home from a business trip everything was removed from the house.
And I mean everything... Ceiling fans, cabinet hardware, even the light bulbs were gone!

Maybe. Maybe that was just my experience and how I see it a few years down the road in a more forgiving and philosophical way.
