Unproductive people are more than willing to trade their freedom for free stuff. If the state provides you housing, food , healthcare, etc... They own you. It's that simple.
So what happens to these people when the same government can no longer provide that free stuff because they destroyed the producers through excessive taxes and regulations?
I know what the history of Mao, Stalin, Polpot, even Maduro shows.
