Joe Sloan on Kaleb Jackson: ‘He’s a powerful, powerful human’

In his presser, Sloan was gushing over Jackson’s power and his improvements over the offseason in pass protection. This kid is a violent beast and has gotten bigger, now up to 235. As a more well-rounded RB, It’ll be exciting to see him get more carries and play a larger role in the offense.

Everybody saw last year Kaleb, when he was able to get the football, is a punishing back. He is hard to tackle, gets his pads down on contact, and is able to drive his feet. He’s a powerful, powerful human. The big thing is the growth from being a freshman playing running back. He’s been able to attack all the little things in the offseason. When you start getting in that box having to pass protect and having to understand where different runs may fit, that’s a lot. What you’re seeing now is that he’s a complete running back.

I assume he’ll lose a little of that weight in camp? Knocking on the door to 240 is a little too big

Dudes gonna be a beast no doubt, been a while since we had a back like him

So there should ne no reason that he isn't getting the bulk of the carries.

Must have been an absolute nightmare to tackle in HS.

I believe he was injured his senior year, but he was probably one of those guys that looked like Devin White did as a freshman in high school.

Kind of looks like him in pads.

That’s who I’ve seen since day 1.

Baby Buga is going to be a machine for the next couple years

I love this guy. I hope he goes off big. If he does, we are going to be hard to stop.

Dandy Don had a side x side photo of Kaleb posted a little over a week ago that showed the change in body composition from last year to this year. Very impressive, not much body fat on that young man.
Not what I would expect

If he would have weighed in after practice he would have been 228-230.
The water weight these guys are carrying right now is very high. Has to be if you’re going to practice in full pads in this weather. Was a lovely 96 degrees today, and that’s before factoring in the heat index

Saw that, what a YOY change in mass

Gonna see a lot of him this year. Ground game going to be leaned on heavily to keep the defense fresh.

As much as I appreciate that video of him running over the first defender, hope he remembers to continue the run because more guys are coming.

WE all know the kid is a bomb waiting to detonate. Nationally, he's an unknown. He will be the biggest offensive phenom this year. He's going to put a few DB's in the hospital. Dude is a TRUCK!

So...
They're teaching Campbell to pull...
And then Jackson will be following Campbell into the hole...
Daaaaaaammmmmnn... That is a lot of angry mass incoming. I sure hope the SEC linebackers and DBs have paid their health insurance premiums.

Maybe some water weight, but he won’t lose any meaningful mass.

Kid is a friggin .monster and I bet 100% they are going to run the hell out of him vs USC's below average DL.
