NASCAR near its peak and on display (with lots of Rebel flags).

Cruise and Kidman.

Duvall with a low-key, but solid performance.

Hans Zimmer bringing score/soundtrack glory.

I thought Kidman was the worst part.

Great movie though. Duvall is fantastic in almost everything he is in

I’d pay out the arse for a Days of Thunder / Color of Money double feature at a theater if it were available.

The racing on screen was incredible for movies at that time
Literally you felt like you were in the car for some of the racing scenes

The only thing better was the nascar imax show that came out years later

I didn't realize John C Reilly was on it until I caught it in tv not long ago.

All I remember from that movie is he raced a Lumina and the wheelchair race in the ER where they kept banging into each other.

I think Duvall made the damn film. Not that everyone else was bad. But... It's ROBERT DUVALL!

Hit the pace car.

Why?

You hit every damn thing else out there, I just wanted you to be perfect.

I watched it at an amusement park in a moving seat theater when it first came out. Hadn’t even seen a preview for it but it turned into one of my favorite movies on the spot.
