Are opposing views welcome here?

On occasion, I see conservatives here invite liberals' opinions. It's infrequent, and it's usually sarcastic when it does happen.
I occasionally see Democrat/liberal opinions offered; however, a significant number of responses are pure ad hominem attacks, wholly devoid of any attempt to discuss an issue or position.
The overwhelming majority of this board is conservative. Do the consistent ad hominem attacks on Democrat/liberal posts express an accepted policy of this board's conservatives' to shout down opposing views? I do not recall ever seeing any conservative poster attempt to rebuke those ad hominem posts.
It this board merely a conservative echo chamber or are opposing views welcome here?

You're not likely to get banned for sharing opposing viewpoints but a bunch of retards will try to shout you down. Just ignore it. There are plenty of people here that accept other viewpoints. The idiots are the loudest.

This is an SEC board. I'm sure Texas and Vandy has a lot of liberals but outside of that, not so much.

Opposition posts are not deleted and the posters are not banned like they are on leftist sites.
They may be down voted into oblivion and will certainly be called out, but they are at least allowed to post.
