While it may happen, I doubt it. I don't believe those in the Dem party want Kamala running for their "primary" as an "incumbent" president. They want to win, but they do not believe Harris can do it.

It is a strategy move. Incumbancey is the greatest tool in an election. She will either shite the bed or eliminate a lot of criticisms for her potential service as POTUS.
I knew good and well that the Dems had a strategy all the time that everyone was laughing at them because of Biden. Timing is everything in politics and business.

So IF he steps down (which I highly doubt but could see happening during his press conference this week) and Kamala becomes President, not only will she be the 47th president but Mike Johnson will be acting VP?
I know the Speaker is 3rd in line, but does he move up a notch to VP in this instance or does the office of Vice President just remain vacant?
