Will be going to Houma in October for my son's golf tournament and was wondering what are the best spots to eat at? Any cuisine is fine with me.

Cajun Criters was great before Ida. Haven't eaten there since.
Big Al's and Boudeaux & Thibodeaux's might be worth a look.

Is Big Al's Seafood still around? Love their boiled shrimp.

They're open on Alma. Food is great.

Nothing like some old lady who could be your granny serving you food in her moo-moo.

The Cajun Ninja has been doing restaurant reviews in Houma lately. Maybe watch a couple of those videos

Cajun Critters
Big Al's
.Bayou Delight ( They have THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN)
Casual Dining:
Lumiere Blues & Jazz Bistro

This is a good list. I'm going to go ahead and add Hooters to that...

Formal Dining :
Cristiano Ristorante (Must do. Reservation "needed" on most weekend nights)
Seafood/Cajun:
The Shack (Best seafood)
Cajun Critters (ehh. its ok, service usually sucks)
Big Al's (replace this with 1921 Seafood)
.Bayou Delight ( They have THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN)
Casual Dining:
Lumiere Blues & Jazz Bistro
La Caretta (Always good live music on patio)
Zen ( Sushi) (Legit AF, very high quality and creative)
West Main Pizza (best pizza ever...to us locals anyway)
This is THE definitive list of Houma.
Upscale lunch dining should include Dominique Bistro downtown.
Casual "away from it all" dining would be the newly renovated Coco Marina at the end of Cocodrie.
Song Phi Nong for Thai.

Very underwhelming

Terrible food. Tits galore.

Zen ( Sushi)
No better than sushi in any other town.
I would suggest baw take a ride down to Coco Marina for the true experience.

Milano is better than Christiano’s

Ate lunch there yesterday. "Great" is a bit of a stretch but it was good. Had blackened red snapper. Flavor was nice but fish was way overcooked.
Three weeks ago we went to Mr. Poboy off of MLK. Oyster poboy was outstanding.
