Their rhetoric around Trump for the past 6 years has been absolutely batshit. They compare him and his supporters to Nazis, brand him as a "threat to democracy", a dangerous felon, etc.
They are not responsible for the assassination attempt on Trump, but they have put out more than their fair share of extreme, radical commentary that less intelligent people take as news. They've helped create this environment that radicalized young, impressionable people like Thomas Crooks.

And this should be a sign to people who actually like to watch Morning Joe (and other MSNBC programs). You are being deprived of honest news. They are intentionally making you angry because they know it keeps you tuned in. You may be part of the problem.

When it comes to Trump and his supporters…..MSNBC immediately starts bleeding out of their eyes. They have been even worse than CNN or WaPo when it comes to spewing lies and fueling left wing hate fire.

It's been a toxic cesspool for years. They just now realized it.
Sort of how they just now realized that Biden hasn't had the mental awareness to lead anything for 4 years.
It's not easy for people to accept that they've been lied to. This will be a slow and painful process for some.
