Seems he could make more money and STILL have another year as leverage.....

The counterargument will be it's questionable how much he could raise his draft stock by coming back

Looks like he’s returning. White selected at 40 instead of 15-20 likely means Bear is returning, and he doesn’t lose his leverage

Very fair, but south of 110 and still 2 years to play I think we got him back

The two have nothing to do with each other.

Not true, if Bear sees White go at 40 when he should’ve gone at 15-20 and Bear goes way lower and doesn’t lose his leverage, it’s an easy decision for him

Jones is being mocked in the 3rd/4th rounds, we have a long way to go with him tomorrow

He should come back. He could be neat year's Tommy White.
Herring could also improve his stock by being a successful starter.

You do not understand baseball. You should really stop posting and salvage what little dignity you have left.

Too funny.

I’ve just been lurking these threads tonight and some really bad takes.

I understand leverage. And Jones as a draft eligible sophomore will still
Have it next year. So take your high and mighty attitude and shove it up your arse.

It's good that you understand the leverage part.

You may want to put some brain cells towards your other assesrtions.

He’s raw power. There is a ton of room for improvement

He’s a right handed hitting first baseman. He’s an elite one but it’s not a highly sought after position. His value isn’t likely to go up.

On the other hand I find it pretty unlikely that his value goes down. If he likes college coming back isn’t a risky proposition for him. I see him coming back personally.

You need to strengthen your argument for both of those guys as I don’t believe that what you state will work!

Wonder if there's a path forward at catcher

He’s not a catcher. Not an everyday one anyway. His future is at 1st and DH

That’s great. Now explain how White going lower than expected has anything to do with Jones and even more so how that would provide Jones with an incentive to stay at LSU.
