Phil Jackson and Daryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins on black vs white ballers

"The black game by itself is too chaotic and much too selfish…. White culture places more of a premium on winning, and less on self-indulgent preening and chest-beating…. In basketball and in civilian life, freedom without structure winds up being chaotic and destructive." - Darryl Dawkins
"White players are more often willing to run patterns and to work collectively. Because of the predominance of blacks in pro basketball, the sport is rapidly disintegrating into a one-on-one sport. There are only five or six NBA teams who play with more than a superficial degree of team unity," -Phil Jackson

Reese actions today make so much more sense

Blacks are clearly insanely athletic and very gifted but I think there is a good argument the modern NBA is too hyper-individualistic.
You can just compare the NBA to European basketball. It's a completely different style.
I want to say the last "team" NBA title was maybe the 2004 Pistons? (Or 2005)

Late 2000s Spurs played some great team basketball.

Beat a team led solely by two superstars that can't carry their team against a legitimate team top to bottom. Should've been a Boston sweep.

The league this year set a new all time record for average assists per game.

It's like yal just ignored the entire 2010s with the beautiful game spurs and the gsw dynasty that emphasized team ball and off ball movement.
Hell, you can argue the same with Denver and Boston too.

Those quotes are obviously from the 70s....when the public hated the NBA.
In the Magic and Bird documentary I think it was Bryant Gumbel who said: "when people said the League was too black, what they meant was it was just players, saying I'm gonna get mine, to hell with you."
It changed in the 80s with of course Magic and Bird showing unselfish play as the two biggest stars.
People like watching unselfish play. Bill Walton said he won the Championship with the Trailblazers because they played, as a team while the Sixers had a bunch of stars who played one-on-one.

perfectly succinct, perfectly accurate and a connection as to why "sport" is essential

You guys love to degrade and hate black people then are stunned when they don't side with your views or vote your political preferences.
It's the weird obsession; you want to hate someone but you want them to entertain you and support you

This is why I stopped watching the game for a long time. The product was terrible.
Here in the last couple of years with the influx of European players, fundamentals and playing the game we got away from for a while. There are still some outliers, but here in the last two season, I’ve watched more NBA basketball than I have in the previous 15

Nobody shoots, kills, degrades, insults and outright pisses on black people more than other black people.

lol
People are stunned because a majority of black people are outright duped by the Democratic Party and still don’t realize they are being used for political purposes and think democrats have their best interests in mind.
It’s absolutely wild that you think the people that black people vote for support them lol
