I was in school during the Gary Crowton/Greg Strudawa era and both got a lot of hate. I’m not old enough to remember much before the Jimbo years.

For the long time fans, who would you say was the worst to ever do it? Was Curly Hallman’s staff as bad as they seemed?

We could have had Joe Burrow on the field with Ensminger and Joe Brady in the booth under Les Miles as HC and you would have thought all 3 sucked.

Idk who was the worst, but the one who got screwed the most was Peetz.

Dude had a terrible coach O team and somehow made Max Johnson look decent. I feel like we totally fricked Peetz

The right answer is Hassler or whoever led LSU's offense before Lynn Amedee under Camp Curley. And Amedee was pretty awful as well.

The easy answer is Les Miles. He could hamstring/limit an OC like no other HC ive ever seen.

You’d have to pay me Nick Saban money to be an OC for that boring hard headed bastard.

Cue the Danny Etling Air Canada picture

I still remember those first few plays against BYU and thought it was different. Then realized our best play was jet sweeps

I'm of the belief that after 2008 it really didn't matter who the OC was, Les circled the wagons and basically hamstrung all OC's after that season.

Old school LSU baws like me would say Cholly Mac's OC Charlie Pevey. Though some might argue Mac did the same to Peavey.

IDK. My uncle used to scorn "Pitchout" Peavy. I think Brady was the only OC I recall who wasn't heavily criticized.

Cam Cameron was Les Miles' little bitch. He was awful and Les wouldn't do a thing to his buddy.

Cam had a good first year in ‘13, so I don’t think he qualifies. ‘14 and ‘15 were bad though

Charlie Pevey is the worst we've ever had. 1970s.

Because Les would have constantly overruled them to call toss dive

Greg Studrawa was the most underrated OC. That’s for sure.

To be fair, after losing Mett, J.Hill, Odell, and Jarvis after ‘13 with noticeably worse replacements in ‘14 is a tough task.
