The ASG falls on the day Skenes would start for the Pirates so that helps. But he deserves it regardless.

More than that, 3/4 of the way to the plate you have no clue what direction the ball will go.
He’s pitching, not throwing. And yes he can throw it hard as well.

Pitchers don't have anything to do with fan vote. They get voted in by players and coaches. To be named the starter I believe the All Star manager has to select you to be the starter (I could be wrong here someone let me know)
