Will Cane’s ever season their chicken?

I know “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” and Todd is printing money. But I just don’t get it. It’s so fricking bland. The sauce isn’t even that good and the Foosackly’s knock-off “Foo sauce” over here in Mobile is better than it. I know I’m the odd one out though. I just don’t get why it’s so big and having celebrity store openings and Time’s Square events over some bland chicken fingers.
ETA: I think I like Tyson’s Crispy chicken fingers better fried up at home. Which that shouldn’t be the case with a restaurant chain this popular.
ETA2: I get why Todd doesn’t change the recipe, I’m saying I don’t get why it’s so insanely popular when it’s just plain chicken.

The blandness appeals to a wider audience I guess

This chicken exists. It’s called Southern Classic and it’s currently starting to franchise, so give it some time and Canes will be on the endangered species list.

No. You will use the sauce and you will like it.

If you think you can do better then go for it.
That’s the way it works.

It is fried chicken strips. There are like 1,000 different choices for the most boring food a person can eat. Pick one and you've had them all.
It is overpriced glorified children's food.

I dunno but we just got a Bojangles here in the hood in Dallas and this white boy will drive there without a second thought for that glorious chicken

Just bring some soy sauce next time.

I’m not saying I could do better. I just don’t get the hype. I know I’m the odd man out on this topic.

Why would they?
The blandness is the reason they are able to continue expansion.

I get that you don’t change something that is popular. What I’m saying is I don’t get why it is popular.

Dave's Hot Chicken exists, frick Cane's

I much prefer Foosacks to Canes. They also have some kick arse Cole slaw.

I add Tony's to mine. I have some friends in California who think "Cane's is the best chicken they ever had," which is so bizarre to me...

Its heavily seasoned with MSG

No because

Why would a billionaire change the recipe that got him there?
Posted on 7/8/24 at 12:22 pm to _Hurricane_
I haven't had all of the other places mentioned in this thread, but Zaxby's blows the doors off Cane's

These franchisees must live up to a lot because O’Keefe is planning on bringing at least 15 new locations to a 50–100-mile radius around Shreveport, La., along with a few other business partners.
