Is there anything he can really do as far as prices at the grocery store, gas pump, etc? Seems like to me there's no going back, regardless who is president the prices aren't going to go down, employees aren't going to get paid less, really the best that can be done is slow the increase down. Am I wrong? I hope I am so please explain.

Reducing the cost of energy is a key.

So, you think inflation was high under Carter at random? And it got solved when Reagan took over...at random? And you think some nations have MUCH higher inflation than others...at random? Lower taxes, massive cuts in business regulations and decreases in spending don't happen at random. They happen through policy decisions.

Eliminate supply chain issues. Reduce energy costs. Lower interest rates to help with the cost benefit analysis of capital deployment vs maintaining the status quo

High prices are here to stay. Corporations have made too much money keeping pace with inflation and not raising the salaries/wages of their employees. We need our politicians to actually start working for us and rein in these companies instead of just going after the other politicians.

That smells of collusion and price fixing. Someone will break ranks and prices with tumble if the economy dictates a downward trend.

It'll take several months for wages to catch up with inflation, but reducing regulations will open up a hiring surge in high paying jobs and negate some of the effects of inflation. Other than that, spend a whole lot less. Stop spending money on other countries wars.

We aren’t going back to 2019 cost of goods, services, or labor. Trump had a hand in our current inflation situation which many on here try to ignore.

The absolute first step is closing the border immediately. A country stands for nothing if it has open borders allowing those in that inflict harm and cost money.

Second step is opening the American oil fields and pipelines.

Third step is eliminating all restrictions against American farms, businesses, industry, etc.

Fourth step is eliminating the federal reserve.

Fifth step is each and every elected and appointed person committing treason and sedition against the United States in the last 20 years being hanged on public display covered by all media outlets real-time.

All five steps occur within the first ten days of his Presidency.

The economy is fricked beyond repair. I just want trump to blow the lid on classified docs, the alphabet agencies, and the Epstein clients

That’s how I feel. I want Trump in there to shut the border and overhaul the intel agencies. But, I don’t see him fixing inflation or the debt bomb hanging over us.

Trump inherited improving economy and super low rates from Obama. When Fed tried to raise rates in 2018 Trump threw a fit. They were kept artificially low for Obama and Trump. Now that we have high rate environment Trumps wild spending to juice the economy won’t work.

Oil scarcity is not a thing currently. Oil prices are dictated on a global market. If Trump does anything like try to decouple North America from the world wide market, it might work for a while, but ultimately it would be a problem.
Once the inflation cat is out of the bag, it's a mother to put back in. Last time it took close to a decade to whip it and it took raising interest rates to almost 20%
