This is what Americans get for being too apathetic to vote in primary elections. Most people either don’t care enough to show up or are too busy pretending they are independents during candidate-picking time.

That’s more about polarization than anything in my opinion. The also extreme leftward shift of the Democratic Party leaves a lot of their more stable members unhappy with their option.

Yeah I read it, it’s just a variation of the ‘they’re all the same’, ‘it’s a uniparty’ narrative. Just enough truth to it, to obfuscate things. Those claiming that they’re all the same, always seem to vote democrat. So why not vote for the good guys for a change.

Going from 13% in 2020 to 25% in 2024 is interesting. That has to all be from Biden because Trump is the same person now that he was in 2020

THIS is always my response to those who 'don't like either candidate' - which really means that their favorite candidate was no chosen.
It would be like starving yourself to death because you REALLY WANTED filet mignon to eat every day and all you had to choose from was porterhouse steak and spoiled mutton.
So they choose to starve.
I go for my favorites in the primaries and vote for the LEAST EVIL of the two top candidates on Election Day.
