It is unbelievable that he thought it was a good idea to run against Trump. How can someone so intelligent be so stupid?
Hope he is ready for 28.

The battlefield is littered with so called professional politicians that believed they could beat an amateur OMB. We hardly knew ye, Yeb!

DeSantis won the 2022 election with 59.4% of the vote to Crist's 40%; it was the largest margin of victory in a Florida gubernatorial election since 1982. DeSantis won Miami-Dade County, which had been a Democratic stronghold since 2002, and Palm Beach County, which had not voted Republican since 1986. Trump lost to fricking Biden lol.
That, and he’s not almost 80.

Total miscalculation on his part. Frankly, I was surprised at how quickly Trump rose to the top and the allegiance he still had from everyone …. even more than before. DeSantis never had a chance. He should’ve said “nope, Trump was screwed and he’s on a mission and I support him” and went back to building for 2028.
Luckily memory is short in politics and I suspect him to be a key player in the future.

The Primary is over. There is room to like and support both Ron and Don.

All of this typed up and posted by the dude who doesn’t tip the delivery pizza guy and only after he makes him wait a few minutes at the door after ringing the doorbell. Yup, checks out

This doesn't sound like it will be good for BDR's health.

I’m wholeheartedly agree. I was literally shocked when he threw his hat in. I literally had voltage coursing through my body. That’s how much I immediately knew that everything was going to play out like it did. Actually the one reasonable explanation that came to mind was that he DID NOT want to be President. Especially when it became clear the type of people on the right who would be of the description of his “base.” The was not much daylight between your typical leftists and the bulk of his “base”: primarily interested in “voting against Trump” as opposed to being a true supporter of RD (or whoever else) in a vacuum.

It’s hilarious how bots can cry about Trump every day but the second Ron is mentioned they have a tizzy and freak the frick out.
