I enjoy yard work, but still point it out to the Wife just to irritate her.

that work is getting divided more b/c women and men have hybrid schedules.
And more women with office jobs have hybrid schedules than men these days.
Or she's a teacher and home all summer and will make multiple FB posts in August about how much attention she deserves.

I wouldn't let anyone touch my lawn other than myself or a well trained kid of mine in about 10-12 years.
I joke about my wife getting out there, but even if I wanted her to, she wouldn't.

Nope. Hector and the boys show up once a week on two zero turns and an edger. They knock it out in about 40 minutes.

I got a lawn tractor with power steering just so my wife can operate it easily if she needed to.
I had a lawn service for our first two houses, but our new house has a much larger yard and I could justify doing it myself to save money. And it's also a cheap and fairly easy hobby that doesn't take much time commitment. So I actually prefer to do it myself with my ear buds. It's my only alone time anymore. It's mine and I try to make my yard look nice.
And if I'm not home and can't do it myself, my wife is usually having to watch the 3 year old on her own....so she can't possibly work outside anyways. I'd probably ask my dad to come over at do it then or I'll just skip a week.

I haven't made the old lady cut, but she wants to mow sometimes with the push mower for a workout. Bad thing is she won't edge or weedeat, so I still have to get my sweaty arse out in the yard covered in grass and look at a halfassed chop job on my beautifully manicured yard. I can't tell her anything about it because she gets her feelings hurt, and I don't want to be an a-hole because she's saving me a little bit of time working in the yard. So she asks me how she's doing, and I just say "yeah babe, you're doing great!" while I'm dying inside looking at this hatchet job..

I truly in my entire life can’t say I have ever seen a woman out mowing the yard

She takes care of my yard and take care of her bush.

My ex wife tried to mow the lawn a total of two times during our time together. She ran over the water hose the first time and got stuck in the ditch the second time. Plus the grass looked like shite. I like my yard too much to have allowed that to continue.

I won't tell my wife this, but I like mowing the grass. Gives me a break from life and I get some exercise. If she wanted to do it, I'd figure out a way to not let her

My wife mows, but we have a zero turn with suspension seat, so it's not a bad ride.
