Is anyone else tempted to try a "Big 4" for half a season?

Bring back Zeller + another vet min + Missi as your centers. Yeah we're repeating failed history with Stiemsma/Ajinca, but you'd have at least 2 of Zion/CJ/BI/Murray on the court all 48 minutes.

These plans always work if Zion plays more than 60 games.. how confident are you in that?

Maybe this is Griffs new plan.. assume at least one of the four will always be hurt so we're really a Big 3 team

Just because they are "names" that's not a Big 4.

Regardless of their names, it's 3 guys who have had cups of coffee in the ASG and one guy who we are still waiting on to realize at least 70% of his potential.

In the west with guys like AD, JJJ/Edey, Jokic, Gobert/KAT, Wemby, Sengun, Lively, Chet- we’re gonna get murdered in the post and in the glass.

Need a legit Center not just bodies

Murray is a similar talent to BI

We believe Murphy can produce at an effective level as a starter while being more of a fit for us

Best option is take Ingram and flip him for a 5 and possibly assets

Murray, McCollum, Murphy/Herb, Zion plus a better fit at 5 will do more for us than Ingram blocking minutes and us just giving up on a starter position and their minutes and taking a negative at a very crucial position between boards, rim protection, and stretch ability for Zion

Posted in the other thread, but I'll put it here too. If we want to keep our players (remember that we just did a 3 for 1 trade and have open roster spots), we could send out picks/swaps for any of these guys, and still stay below the tax.

If BI would change his Game up and get away from that iso ball midrange game I would take him back

I'm not so sure. Zion, BI, and Murray all averaged over 5 rebounds a game.

Also, with Jones and Murray on the court, you can go back to point Zion.

Nah, we need a big if we’re to have any chance at winning. Missi could be an animal right away, but I highly doubt it. Either BI has to go, or Bi takes less than the max and CJ has to go

Sure, but if we’re going up against a team with a giant like San Antonio, wtf could we possibly do?

Maybe I’m just not remembering right, but what nba champion in league history didn’t at least have a quality starting center? Were there any?

Perkins with the Celtics and their big 3.

Who played C for the Cavs when they beat the Warriors? Tristan Thompson?

I'm sure there's many other examples.

Have a brutal peremiter defense still with this roster. Zion may say he wants to play 3, 4, or 5, but the organization needs him to close the game at point power. If you can bring jv back for 15, do it. Hated losing daniels. Bi gets 1 year player option.

For sure, one of the GOATs, but he was 6’11” and also played center

Eta: that was also one of the first finals I remember watching, I didn’t watch much nba until high school/college. KG was at center the majority of the time. Largely because Kendrick kept doing really dumb shite like running into Paul pierce and knocking him to the ground

So Perk played in 5 of the 6 finals games. Averaging 4/3.6/0.4 in 18.4 minutes per game
