Do you ever go to the movies by yourself?

Home alone tonight, wife and the 1 year old are back home picking up the 3 year old from a beach trip with the grandparents.
There’s a couple movies that are out that look intriguing to me. Seems like an excellent time to go.

I actually love doing that.
I go to the movie tavern during the daytime, get myself some drinks and during the day very few people are there so i get the whole theater to myself basically.
And i just chill and enjoy drinks and a movie

I went to one alone a few months ago in the middle of the day on a Friday. It was a nice experience as there was only me and five other people in the theatre.
I ordered my popcorn in my phone and had it delivered to me after I sat down.

Yes, but it’s one of those things that I refused to do until about age 30. Then I took the plunge and realized the greatness of two hours of societal solitude.

Yes, once or twice. It was just after college when I moved to a new town and hit a Saturday matinee or two. Great way to break up the day before getting settled into your new town and before figuring out the dating scene.

I go to the movies by myself all the time. Nothing wrong with it. I also go to the movies with my kids and my wife sometimes. However now that the kids are out of the house I find myself going by myself more than I used to. The wife and I have VERY different tastes in movies.

No, I would feel guilty for leaving my dogs at home. I can catch a movie on TV at home

Absolutely. It's actually wonderful going to catch a movie by myself. Especially when I don't have shite to do and it is raining outside.

Went to see the local premiere of “The Hunt for Red October” at ~1:00 pm at the Eastlake 8 in NOLA East by myself in March of 1990.
The theatre was empty except for me.
