Would you report house workers getting into a fight before leaving?

Had an exterior paint job yesterday and as the guys were leaving, two of them got into a scuffle in my driveway. Lasted about three seconds before the third guy ran up and broke them up. They left right after.

My wife was mortified and said we need to report them to the contractor. I thought the paint job looked great and what’s a bit of a brouhaha after painting in miserable summer heat?

What say the OT?

If it didn't cause your job to get fricked up, let it go.

They're adults. If there's a problem, it's that company's problem.

Unless you call and explain it well to the boss, I wouldn’t. Too much shite gets lost in translation…and guys that are willing to work hard shouldn’t get fired for punching someone who is on their level and being an a-hole.

Tell her you will handle it and then just don't call the contractor. Makes your wife feel good that you listened to her, yet you don't have to go along with her stupid suggestion.

Later on after a few beers, they were all laughing about it. Tell her to let it go.

Has your wife never encountered carpenters, painters, roofers, and the like? A little blue collar scrapping doesn't even move the needle.

If they did the job, did it right, and nobody or anything was injured or broken then what’s the problem?

Like you said long day working in the hot summer heat, baws prob just had enough for one day. We’ll have days like that. No harm no foul.

An occasional rustling out of people's insulated existence can be good for them.

It shouldn't really be THAT hard to explain to her that this was really no big deal and that y'all are just gonna blow it off and forget about it.

Geesh.

Roll up your newspaper and whack your wife on the nose while telling her to pipe down.
