Why would the Pelicans move C.J. ? I don’t think he goes anywhere anytime soon.

Why would the Pelicans move him? He meets all of Dennis and Gayle’s check marks.

-Religious

- Philanthropist

- Has his own Winery

- Has his own Fashion line

- Is a ESPN guest host

-Watches PBS

-Does Community Service

- Presidential of Players Association

Gayle not getting rid of him. They may give him an office position too.

His salary will be needed to acquire an elite player or 2 role players to compliment the (hopefully) elite player BI's trade brings in.

I know that you're being facetious, but he only has 2 years left on his deal, and if we do get an actual PG, it's unlikely that he can start next to that player.

I agree they love CJ too much. He’s the perfect human being who represents the city with pride. As long as he wants to be here, he’ll stay

But if they see him as the Drew Brees of basketball then other people will get moved. Not CJ. Don’t you question Dennis and Gayle’s decisions. Ask the LSED.

i hope CJ's minutes get reduced to 25-28 mpg range. Hawkins needs a lot more. Trigger Trey needs to be a staple.

If he leads us to a Finals championship I'm good with him sticking around until he retires

People are upset that he had to be the 1/2 option when we plan him to be the third option. Not his fault, BI and Zion can’t stay healthy.

Both Zion and BI had fairly healthy years and CJ led team in FGA. I don’t believe he views himself as a third option.

Zion's usage rate was 29.7. CJ's usage rate was 24.7

Free throws and turnovers end possessions as well, not just shots.

I agree I had that opinion on him at first. But when I saw at the end of the season, he seems to let bi and Zion take over more. He was willing to change his style for the team compared to BI.

Those are super traits. I believe he will be a network nba analyst after his career.
Unfortunately those traits don't transfer to a basketball court. He is a sg and fortunately the Pels have Herb. A move to a contender to play the sg position would help his legacy. Orlando would be an ideal team for him if CJ is willingly to be the third or fourth option.

If we trade BI, Herb can play the 3. Murphy is probably the Lively roll. Comes off the bench but play major minutes.

If so, we've failed this offseason.

Trey needs to be starting and mirroring as many minutes as possible with Zion.

CJ is valuable on the court and off.
Don’t dump on him because he’s not a PG.
