They must be having big problems with all the young scholars at the Mall?
Honestly a little surprised this wasn’t implemented before

Mall of Louisiana announces adult supervision policy for guests under 18

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Teens and kids wanting to visit the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge will soon have to have an adult accompany them on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Officials with the Mall of Louisiana announced that beginning Friday, June 28, a Parental Guidance Required (“PGR”) program will be in effect at the Mall of Louisiana on Friday and Saturdays after 4 p.m.
As part of the program, officials say guests under 18 years old will be required to be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult who is at least 21 years old while they are on the shopping center property, including in the parking lot and exterior sidewalks.
See......that wasn't difficult. You already had the tab open.

I have little faith that they will be checking IDs once inside the mall. Parents or friends over 21 will walk in with there scholars, get checked in, and then turn around and walk out.

Sporadically.

The under 18 policy won't matter. The 18-25 year olds are just as bad.
ETA: Perfect example
River Center Vandalism
The arrested teens include Javin Thomas, 17, Edward Eisley, 18, and Tatiana Gordon, 19. All three were arrested on June 24 and charged with simple burglary and criminal damage to property.
Recent New Roads murder
On June 24, Chief Epps announced that officers arrested three people in connection to the shooting: Michael Anderson, 21, of Baker, Brandon Bell, 22, of Ventress and Dylan Bell, 19, of Ventress. All three are charged with second-degree murder.
NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Two women accused in the weekend shooting death of a man on Bourbon Street have been arrested in Mississippi
Mia Lindsey, 22, will be booked with second-degree murder, and 26-year-old Mariah Campbell is accused of being an accessory to second-degree murder, police said.

this happened to my 16yo daughter and her friends this past weekend at Green Hills mall here in Nashville.
They purchased tickets for "Inside Out 2" online, *DROVE* by themselves to the theater and were stopped at the entrance and told to leave and refunded their money because there was no one over 18 with them.
thats like TSA strip searching the old lady with a walking cane for explosives.
GREAT JOB DEALING WITH THE REAL PROBLEM
at the risk of sounding racist, she told me the 'wise black woman manager' who stopped them from going into the movie was positively GLEEFUL at making them leave.
eta if this is a new policy, i must have missed the email or news story on it.

That’s the only thriving and good mall in the whole damn region. They do a good job running that place.

there's still operating store fronts in the mall?

Jackson, MS had this policy at one of their malls in the 90's.
We all see how much it improved the area...

This is disgusting. We need more places for our youth to feel safe and let out some stress. And whose to say these youth aren’t going to be spending money in the mall?

Uh-oh. Complaints from "cOmMuNiTy LeAdErS" incoming...

Those who provide proper identification to indicate that they are at least 18 years old will be offered an optional wristband. Those who choose not to wear the wristband may be asked for ID again by safety officers inside the shopping center. Valid identification includes a state issued driver’s license or ID card, a military ID, a school ID card, or a passport. The identification must be tamper-proof and include a photograph and date of birth.

That’s why most malls are flat and you have to walk outside. They need to have it all day. These hood rats are treating the mall like a baby sitting service

I refuse to go to a mall nowadays. The black teens and white trashy behavior is just too much.
