We all know this, but I’m on a highlight watching binge.

The season had it all. It had one of the most dominating LSU performances ever (VaTech win), heart-stopping wins (Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee), devastating triple OT losses, etc.

One pivotal play here and there and the Tigers could have gone 14-0 or been 3-5 in the SEC. I was a student at the time, so it was an extra special ride.

sounds like 2010. had miles had another zook like 4 or 5 loss season after having that in 2008 and 2009 he was gone. donors had the money ready to shitcan him.

the guy this board loves to hate saved his arse in 2 games and the UNC tight end saved him in another.

kickoff classic game. UNC TE drops game winning TD as time expired.

JJ was terrible. lee comes in and saves us in UF game.

Lee completes a 4th and 16 to TT in tenner game to keep game winning drive alive.

we were that close to 5 losses and miles being gone way before he actually was.

Don't forget that the top 2 teams in the polls were guaranteed to have one of the two lose a game the following weekend.

That Keiland Williams run vs Va Tech was phenomenal. Lined up in the pistol, toss to Williams, a hurdle and he was gone!!

whole fn year was wild. remember we were down 10 at some time to:

auburn
florida
bama
ohio state

same back and won them all

crazy pills

that team shoulda been undefeated. miles stopping running the ball with GROUND CHUCK at kentucky was a terrible game management choice.

doucet cost us a TD by hester on illegal motion

and we failed to blitz casey fn dick on 4th down in oT with nothing to lose against arky. had we sacked him or caused a hurry we win.

Started going to LSU games as a kid in the early 90s and was a student in 2007; went to every home and away game that year along with the SECcg and the BCS game by far the most fun I’ve had any season. Even more than 2019 I guess since I was at LSU in 07.

Some other non-mainline thoughts on '07:
- The only NC Les ever won was done with an aggressive offense. But after '08, he ditched it and never relented.
- Flynn played hurt most of the year. He missed the Mid TN State game and the SECCG (not because he got hurt on the last play vs Arky).
- Across an entire season, TS may never have been better.

I don't think he ditched it but I agree that he didn't get back to that aggressiveness.

He had to throw Jarrett Lee in early due to Perrilloux's dismissal and it just messed with him. (Miles)

LSU wasn't the same at QB after that. To his credit, Lee improved (see 2011) but again, it wasn't the same as when he had Flynn.

I wish I could've been in La for it. I was living in Florida at the time and moved back just in time to go to New Orleans. I'll never forget that. A lot of cherished memories.

Frick Auburn for one of the dirtiest plays I ever seen with the chop block on Glen.

Wild how Gary crowton put up electric offenses his first year everywhere he went and the numbers shrink nearly half in year two.

Strange to think Les miles actually enjoyed scoring touchdowns until Jarrett lee’s 2008 fiasco

Les needed the most unlikely scenario to happen just to get a shot at the title. Talk about luckiest man ever?

Miles would'f gone 14-0 that year if he had only started Ryan Perrilloux. That guy was brilliant

So many memorable moments from that season. I’ll never forget after winning the SEC championship that it sucked we had these two other losses and wouldn’t be able to make the national championship game. By the end of the night Missouri had won and West Virginia had lost after being 40 point favorites, and all the sudden the Tigers were in. Blew.My.Mind.
