Only 16% of Reese's rebounds are from her own misses

Out of 151 rebounds she's collected, 24 are from her own misses.
She's cleaning up her teammates more than anything else, that's why her oreb are so high.

So her average would drop from 10.8 to 9.0 rebounds per game and she wouldn't average a double double.

This is what I expected her to be. She a female Dennis Rodman. She will average 11-13 boards, but will probably only get about that same amount of point. Like at LSU, she needs to cut down on some of the shots. With the rebound put packs she should be a 50% shooter, and is currently only 38%.If she fixes that she will be a valuable play for years to come.

Yeah, Her, Skenes, Burrow. I'm sure you call for all of their stats etc. to be posted on the MSB.

That’s a very tough stat to find and how 16% even compares. Best I could find was a website that shows these stats from the 2003-04 NBA season.
Top Offensive Rebounders from their own missed shots 2003-04
Ostertag 19.2%
West 19.2%
Dampier 17.9%
Haywoood 14.9%
Ilgauskas. 14.0%
Wilcox 13.9%
Davis 12.8%
DeClercq 12.7%
Williams 12.5%
Dalembert 11.8%
Madsen 11.7%

Any context how that percentage compares to other rebound leaders (in both NBA & WNBA)
Edit: I see LSUbasketballfan added some data above

Why do we care
The OP probably cares because there are people on this board who like to disparage a former LSU NC-winning player who is now a pro by saying she only gets so many offensive rebounds because she rebounds her misses.

Well she has 68 Offensive rebounds in 14 games.
Assuming your 24 number is correct, that is still 35% of her offensive rebounds.
She gets a lot more defensive rebounds per game

Chicken can we get a WNBA board for all the clowns who actually watch that?

Who cares? WNBA is the EV of basketball. If it wasn't subsidized by men playing basketball in the NBA it would have folded years ago. LOL. Lost $50 mil last year.

Who gives a frick. Seriously. Stop posting about the wnba on this board. No one gives a frick; take this shite to the MSB where it can die a quick death because no one gives a frick there either.

Damn why are you so triggered by women playing basketball?

9 is pretty good and it’s a good to rebound your own shots.

Thanks for posting this. I’ve never seen a WNBA game but here at LSU, there were times when she’d get 2 to 3 rebounds off her own missed shots in the same possession.
