New or old, hidden gem or well known masterpiece?

Mine was Sorcerer the William Friedkin 1977 action thriller. It was awesome and intense. I'm not sure how Friedkin pulled some of it off.

I just saw the Fellowship of the Ring today for the first time ever. In a movie theater. So I’m gonna pick that one What a first introduction to LOTR. Streaming the Two Towers tomorrow night and watching ROTK in theaters on Monday. Heard great things about both obviously.

Introduced my son to Aliens on Thursday. He kept putting it off because he didn’t like Alien at all. Now he’s quoting space marines every 10 minutes.

The new Bar Boys was great. The way the camera moved around during the action scenes was really original and fun.

A few horror movies I watched recently are Viral and Cemetary Man. Viral almost felt like a documentary of the early days of covid except it came out in 2016. I don't usually like disease movies but this was pretty good. Cemetary Man is an Italian zombie movie, borderline comedy with a Dead Alive type of feel. Also featured some A+ nudity so that was a nice bonus too.

Hereditary. I knew nothing about it going in, aside from the title.

I wish I’d not watched it, as it was terribly depressing and downright sad at points.

If you want a pick me up, the director’s next movie, Midsommar, has a much brighter and colorful setting.

lol. My son and I just got out of seeing it in the theatre. He’s only 14 so this is his first time seeing them on the big screen. He was happy and the extended editions make it even better. We’ve got tickets for The Two Towers and RotK for the next two days. They’re truly great movies. Enjoy the ride.
