Good move by Hurley imo, I'm sure he got a raise out of it.
I'm betting he didn't get the commitments he wanted from Lebron's team, because Lebron wants a puppet not someone like Hurley.

Never said he would, but they’re not going to take a swing after any other big names.
From day 1 there’s been rumors they would prefer JB as an assistant to JJ, so that’s likely what they pivot back to.
JB being under contract here complicates that though as we can block him from making a lateral move

Funny how incompetent our offense was in pivotal moments this season and yet Borrego is “rumored” to be coveted by multiple teams. Is this an indictment on Willie and the league is saying Willie is wholly responsible for the incompetence?

Reportedly Borrego had two in person meetings in L.A. That's too much for someone if only considering as an assistant.
It's unfortunate that the process cost the Pels the opportunity to hire Darvin Ham as top assistant if Borrego left.
