Excellent draw I think for a better shot at getting to the CWS

North Carolina isn't any tougher than what we just faced in the SEC tourney, and if Arizona chokes (one of the weakest top 16), we get to host the Super.

Serious question, why do people say stuff like this knowing damn well they haven’t watched a single inning of Arizona baseball this year?

They probably are one of the weaker hosts this year. RPI in the 30s and them being announced as a host site last night was a surprise to a lot of folks

That said, they won’t be a pushover

I like the fact that we wouldn't have to see an SEC team to get to Omaha.

North carolina is close to tennessee who we lost to and kentucky who we beat. We also have to play them at their house, not something we had to do in hoover. That matters. Lsu will be the underdog, but its not impossible.

Not to piss on your parade, but UNC throwing their ace and high-leverage guys is infinitely tougher than what LSU just faced in the sect. Ideally Long Island forces UNC to use a good arm or two.

The super regional draw is favorable.

And UNC is 32-2 at home this year.

I hate to break it to you but it definitely is. Not that we can’t win, but it’s definitely tougher than what we played in the SEC tournament.

No doubt but we know what we are walking into in Knoxville, Fayetteville, College Station.

Carolina’s recent history isn’t great. Last 2 times they hosted a super, SEC schools upset their way to Omaha.

Last time they were this high of a national seed, Davidson won the regional.

They aren't "definitely" better than Georgia, Kentucky, SC x 2, Tennessee. We lost to Tenn, by 1 run with a man in scoring position and 1 out, chance to walk it off. NC has good pitching, so does most of the SEC.

It’s not that they are definitely better than those teams. It’s that we will likely be facing their ace and best bullpen arms in what is as close to a “must win” as you can get. That’s completely different than what we were facing in the SEC tournament.

How many possible SEC can get to Omaha?

UNC is good. Everyone in the regional will be good. But to say it’s tougher than what we just played at the SEC tournament just isn’t true.

We just played the #1, #2 and #7 overall seeds. And USC.

Now if you are just talking about pitching that we faced, maybe.

Considering baseball is about 85% who pitching, yeah, I think we should be talking about pitching.
