This is quite possibly the dumbest formatted tournament in existence. But this is the way it goes. I would rather not having to play more games if we lose. Just get ready for the real games.
This tournament goes single elimination => double elimination for 2 or 3 rounds =>single elimination again for the final 2 rounds.
It makes absolutely no sense. The entire thing needs to just be single elimination.

SEC Ty has been single-elim-then double*elim-then single elim for many years.
In 2025, all 16 teams will play in a single elimination SEC Baseball Tournament.

It really is. But allowing this many teams in, and then trying to pack this many games in that time period, it's the only way.

Been a shitty setup for years, but if they win give them credit they were down more pitchers than us with the extra game.
