or STG, LA?

St. George, LA since it will become its own incorporated city/municipality.
If it was just a CDP (Census Designated Place) then you would still have a Baton Rouge address.

City names don’t matter on addresses. Only the zip code.

For an insurance quote I was asked if I live in the city limits. I was finally able to say yes. City of St George baby.

Yep. It will say “st George” behind their lot number or apartment number

They'll have St. George eventually. The Zip is what is usually driving this though.
So there will be a pretty long period of time where both cities will work just fine on stationary, letters, etc.

You couldn’t afford a house in southdowns like a real white person?

Do people in Central use Central, LA??
I haven’t seen that

I hate that name St. George!
Why couldn't they give it a cute French name? I am still going to write Baton Rouge as my address.

You don't really have to. Zip code is all that matters.

New Orleans managed to change dozens of racist street names so I’m sure the fine folks in St. George will manage as well.

I believe your address is a function of what post office brings you your mail. Metairie is not a city (it's unincorporated Jefferson Parish). It is the name the post office uses.
Covington has about 12,000 residents … but the Covington post office services about 60,000. Hence, 48,000 residents of unincorporated St. Tammany Parish have Covington addresses but do not live in the City of Covington.

There’s Chauvin, LA and Cocodrie, LA - same post office and same zip code

I live in Central and you CAN put Central as your address but we have several different zip codes: 70818 (Baton Rouge), 70739 (Greenwell Springs), 70714 (Baker) and I think 70791 (Zachary). Mine is Baker so everybody thinks I live on Plank Road…

Harris Co has an unincorporated population of around 2 million. We don't live in a city.

Yeah, my siblings live out in Central and they just put BR 70818

I scoff. St George will be too wealthy for mail. Mail is for poor people. We will all be assigned a personal courier. Thats just how racist we are here in the 70809.
