I worked at a hardware store back in high school. Great job.

While putting the money on the counter alone was certainly not disrespectful, there were absolutely some customers who were dickheads who would throw a wad of cash at you and act like you were inconveniencing them by ringing them up and accepting payment.

How are they racial?
Sexist maybe. They are terms for rude, obnoxious, odious women.

You've never had a cashier put your money on the counter and push it to you?

You've never counted your money on the Counter and pushed it to them?

When I was in elementary school and my dad would give me 2 dollars at the store and tell me to buy whatever I wanted, I used to do that shite all the time!

Is it wrong to put money on the counter? Why would it be an issue? It's not like the lady had her hand out to me.

For as long as I have been paying for things myself in store I have known it was considered rude to place money, particularly change, on the counter versus handing it to the cashier. The only exception is when there is a metal scoop tray under a window that makes a hand-to-hand exchange virtually impossible.

Never heard that.

Why is it called a Counter then?

There are black people that believe if you don’t put the money in their hand you are afraid their black will rub off on you. Never knew this was a thing till a few years ago. Hard to imagine there are people that stupid but they do exist.

No, because I have two hands and my items are on the counters.

While we are on behaivor at gas stations. Why are some customers so insistent on a bag, even for the smallest of items?

My only item was the ice. Which was in my cup. Which was in my right hand.

Left hand went into left pocket to fish out change. Counter was a little higher than a normal one. I kind of counted it in my hand, with other change in hand.

Let the two quarters slip out. She wasn't holding her hand out for them.

What was I supposed to do, shove my dirty hand of change at her?

Look, if someone holds their hand out I might put the money in it, if I don't need to count it.

But this wasn't that situation

Imagine being so bothered by a comment from a ghetto chick directed at you obviously because you're a white guy in a hood store that you come on TD to create a thread about it.

No, I did not.

It dropped out my hand, maybe an inch. When it say it spolled I mean it wobbles a couple times. That's it. Nothing egregious
