I just heard KMOT that the arraignment that was scheduled for tomorrow has been pushed back 2 weeks. Sounds like the charges are going to be dropped.

They’ll drop the charges in exchange for a release from Scottie. Apparently no body cam on the cop. Woof.

Surely hope so. It’s amazing after what happened, he still finished T8. He’s playing at a different level right now.

Scottie will probably take the high road. If I were him and truly felt I did nothing wrong I would be out for blood.

Only solution is the high road. Everyone already thinks Robocop acted like an idiot. It’s unfortunate but what does he gain at this point by making a spectacle of it. He said all the right things and is moving on. Continuing the drama only makes him look bad.

If he was a non famous person the cop would get away with this and the person would be fricked.
Scottie could use his platform to highlights the shite cops get away with in this country

Can the cop sue in civil court for his “injuries” - seems like the kinda dude that would do that considering his hospital trip and write up.

This is a common theme in Louisville. Verona Taylor, David McAtee, Scottie.

Scotties attorney said it’s absolutely false that there has been any talk of the charges being dismissed
In fact, the county prosecution objected to the request for the delay in attainment. Sure seems like the DA plans to go full speed ahead

Seems like a non-story.
Arraignment got pushed due to schedule conflict with Romines.
Scottie is not required to attend & they will plead not guilty

Here is the hearing from this morning. The prosecutor is a disgrace. He actually claimed that Scottie Scheffler is not a name that is widely known.

Yeah frick that prosecutor. He sounds like a damn fool.

Prosecutor is a moron. Even after it was spelled out for him, he couldn’t understand that he was arguing down the wrong avenue.

Every single media report has said he doesn't have to be present.

He’s right.
Scottie didn’t have to be present yesterday, but the judge ruled that he is required to attend on June 3rd. Although it seems the charges might get dropped before then.

The judge also ruled that Scheffler would have to be present for the arraignment, which is generally required in a felony case.
"If we haven't resolved the case by June 3, (Scheffler) will be here with me in court," Romines said.

I take it back. I just watched the video. Holy hell the DA sounded like an idiot. and for those that haven't watched, as of now the judge made it very clear he is expected to be at his arraignment.
I still think this all goes away but who knows, maybe you have a DA looking for his 5 minutes of fame. I loved the part about the number 1 golfer in the world not being widely known.

I wouldn’t blame him for moving on from this, but this statement is dead wrong imo.
He is justified in whatever decision he makes.

It seems very clear and the prosecutor is retarded
1. You can do a remote arraignmen . If remote, you can only delay in very unusual circumstances
2. If not requesting remote, a delay request is expected to be granted and very rare to even be objected by prosecution
Scottie isn’t asking to be remote, therefore the unusual circumstances is of no consequence. The prosecutor couldn’t seem to grasp that simple concept
