That’s how I thought it worked that way also but I just looked it up and in Ky the defendant is the only person who must be at an arraignment in the state of Kentucky. It looks like it did definitely get backed up to June 3rd. Which would be the Monday after the RBC.

What was the point of mentioning Scotties private jet.

We all know what that's about.

Look they are going to drop the charges. But they are going to ask him to plead to a lesser charge. I say Bull shite don't plead to anything. I had some shite go down 15 years ago and they asked me to plead to a misdemeanor resisting. I should not have done that. They had nothing. But this is how they get you. Everytime I go purchase a gun now I have to wait a week to get it.

I loved the part about the number 1 golfer in the world not being widely known.

I mean this seems absurd to people posting on a golf message board, but if I told a non-golf fan that “Scottie Scheffler got arrested Friday morning” they probably wouldn’t know who I was talking about.

That’s also true about almost every golfer outside of Tiger Woods & about 4 others.

You could probably say the same thing about half the justices on the Supreme Court, unfortunately. That doesn’t mean they aren’t still “widely known,” especially compared to 99.9999% of other people who appear before that judge.

maybe, but you are a cop working a fatality scene at the entrance gate at a Major golf tournament. Even he can't be oblivious to the fact that golfers are trying to show up. Even if he had no clue who Scottie is (which I don't believe) all it would have taken is two seconds to ask. Instead he "attaches himself" to the his car, whatever the hell that means and then proceeds to book him with a felony. He might not have known who Scottie was but he damn sure knew he wasn't some rando trying to run him over.

Cop fricked up, perhaps Scottie wasn't perfect, cop realizes it at some point, and then makes the conscience decision to double down and book with a felony.

I mean he was hit by Scottie’s vehicle. Not really sure what you wanted to cop to do?

again, maybe. But they would've used language such as the defendant struck the officer with his car. instead they used the detective attached himself to the car. No one has explained exactly what that means.

Not remotely true. Not even the cop claims this happened

Why lie?

Call it what you want. From the police report:

quote:

"Detective Gillis was in the middle of the westbound lanes, in full LMPD uniform and a hi-visibility yellow reflective rain jacket. Detective Gillis stopped subject and attempted to give instructions. Subject refused to comply and accelerated forward, dragging Detective Gillis to the ground. Detective Gillis suffered pain, swelling, and abrasions to his left wrist and knee. He was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment by emergency medical personnel.

No, the cop apparently went out of his way to jump on to the car. And he turned his body camera off before he did it.

There is no evidence supporting the police report. Jeff Darlington at ESPN told a far different story. The behavior of the other police during his arrest suggests the report is false. If someone just ran over a cop with his car and sent him to the hospital, the cops are not gonna be all buddy buddy with the suspect at the jailhouse.

No where in there does it say he was struck. It sounds like he grabbed the car and was too stupid to let go.

So, when a cop jumps on your car to stop you, it’s perfectly fine to keep going and drag the cop along for the ride.

Got it !!!!

Where does it say the cop jumped on the car?

The cops own words don’t say that, zero witnesses say that

You have now lied twice. Why?

If someone jumps on the hood of my car I probably think they are some insane person trying to attack me because not one single law enforcement department in this country (world?) instructs its officers to jump on the hood of a moving vehicle in any circumstances.

According to the eye witness reporter, the cop tried to stop the car and when Scottie continued, he grabbed the door handle and tried to open it. When the car stopped, after traveling about thirty yards, the cop started banging on the window with his flashlight. If I'm not mistaken, there were two law enforcement people involved, one on one side of the bus Scottie was trying to go around and then the guy who tried to keep him from entering the grounds. The first gave him the go ahead to go around and the second one acted like an idiot.

The officer didn’t jump on the car. He shuffled on the side of the car grabbing at the handle
