Cincy ties it with UCF 5-5 in the 9th. Scored 3 with 2 outs.
Going to extra innings.

Florida loses 3-6 to Vanderbilt and is Eliminated from SEC tournament (They will be Last four in / First four out range. Bubble watching.)

Georgia Tech and Louisville both losing today is opening up opportunities on the bubble. If Indiana makes a run and a few others fall flat, they might have a shot at one of the last spots.

Here's one thing to remember about those two teams too. Since the ACC does pool play, they can no longer advance to the semi-finals with their loss today. So they only each have one more game to play this week.

I think if we beat Kentucky our RPI could jump to 20ish. One more win and we could be sitting around 15. I think we are closer to a 2 seed than most do.

With a win tomorrow I think we could very realistically make that jump.
It will also depend on how the bottom #2 seeds perform in their tournaments. Our RPI could take a huge jump forward with a win tomorrow.

UCF 6, Cincinnati 5, F/11.

UCF homered in the top of 11th, then held on for the win.

Cincinnati is an interesting case. They finished 5th in the Big 12 at 17-13 and won 3 of 4 series against the other bubble teams in the conference (WVU, KSU, TCU, and UCF) going 8-4, but they were 9-9 in other conference games and have fallen to #59 in the RPI. They lost 2 of 3 non-conference to Xavier and went 0-2 in a weekend series against #197 Jacksonville. They also lost 25-2 to Coastal Carolina.

Last Update for today
(other than the Cal game).

-Added "Day 2: 5/22 All Bubble Team's Games / Time / Result + All 1 Bid League favorites we need to win their Conference tournament" to the end of OG post.

-Put Day 1 Results on Page 6 of this Thread. (So that OG post wouldn't become incredibly long)

-Used updated live RPI's of Day 2 Matchups as of 5/22 9:00 pm so if they change randomly within the few hours may numbers may be slightly off.

The first out will be likely between Bama and Florida. If Ole Miss loses tonight, you can add them to that list. LSU would likely be next, but I don’t think they’ll leave that many out. The SEC will get 9, possibly 10 in. But keeping on winning won’t hurt our chances, so just do that.

Honestly I’m not trying to be a dick here, but I think LSU winning today makes this thread irrelevant, which is good news

Will still follow this though

I for the most part agree I am 99.9% sure we are in. I plan on continuing to update though just so people know where LSU stands in the field and other bubble teams. I love watching baseball this time of the year, Miss State just walking off Ole Miss when down to their final out is an example of why its so fun.

Based on the D1 baseball field of May 20, nothing changed yesterday IMO. Obviously more action today and later in the week in the smaller conferences.

I think Kansas State and Florida got a little closer to having to sweat. Maybe Georgia Tech too.

Coastal is inching closer to being in. Committee will love the Gilmore retirement angle.
