Committee tends to give RPI leeway to northern teams sometimes.

This is another case like the Big 10, where the committee may have given a spot to Cal despite a low RPI to give the PAC-12 4 bids. If Stanford were to get the auto bid, I think that would just knock Cal out of the running.

Cincinnati held on to beat Texas 8-7 and move to 1-1 on the weekend.

Northeastern and ULL both lost.

In a real bid steal situation Indiana St trails S. Illinois 4-3 in the 6th and a possible one Xavier-UConn are tied 2-2 in the 6th.

Right now the tournaments that are potential bid stealers

Coastal Atlantic - Northeastern lost (still in tournament) 0-1

Big Ten - The two teams who are assumed to be in Illinois
and Nebraska are both 0-1. Nebraska is currently winning its elimination game

Pac 12 Stanford who would be a bid stealer is 2-0. They are headed to the Semi-Finals.

That was a 1 bid league. Going to have a bid stealer out of the Missouri Valley conference if Indiana St doesn’t win out

Sorry for any confusion you have so, Nebraska is pretty much a lock for being in. Nebraska and Illinois, and they both have lost a game in their tournament so that conference (big ten) I’m kinda keeping an eye on for a bid steal. Nebraska will not play their next game until tomorrow.

Northeastern is a 1 bid league but if northeastern loses. Another team in the league will get the auto bid and then northeastern will get an at large. Northeastern is 0-1 they lost their first game and play William and Mary today in an elimination game.

I hope I cleared up any confusion.

Impactful Results

TCU moves on and is 2-1 and Kansas St is Eliminated.

Coastal Carolina 3-6 App State FINAL

Coastal Carolina ends their tournament run 1-2 and will be last four in or first four out most likely. They needed a strong tournament run to boost RPI. Good thing for other Bubble teams.
