Joe Rogan should host the debates

Let’s face it, the format of Presidential debates is now antiquated and terrible. All it really is is throwing out zingers and sound bites rather than really showing off your platform. Even Trump at his best in the debates are just hilarious insults to his opponents, like the “Only Rosie O’Donnell”, “Because you’d be in jail”, or saying that Ted Cruz’s father killed JFK.
But there’s also no way to fact check in real time or for them to show clips when the candidates lie and say they never said or did something in the past. The moderator often overlooks things of the candidates, especially if they personally hate the other candidate.
Rogan had the right idea on how to do it. He said in the last election that he wanted just himself, Trump, Biden, Jamie, and two members of the Secret Service in the room and to have them for three hours. It’d be questions like this:
Rogan: “President Biden, in June of 2020 you said that if you would even consider voting for Trump, that you ain’t black. What did you mean by that?”
Biden: “What a bunch of malarkey! I never said that!”
Rogan: “Oh really, you didn’t say that? Jamie roll the clip!”
*clip plays*
Rogan: “So I repeat my question: in June of 2020 you said that if you would even consider voting for Trump, that you ain’t black. What did you mean by that?”
Yeah, I don’t think Biden would fair all that well if he can be immediately called out on his lies by providing clips or documents that show what he did. Trump’s lies tend to be more exaggerating than anything else (like his inauguration numbers for instance), while Biden tends to lie about more important shite.
Rogan’s plan was to compile questions to him submitted by Ben Shapiro, Tim Pool, Saagar Enjeti, Krystal Ball, Kyle Kulinski, and Jimmy Dore as well as clips they’d send him and really be ready to go and prepared in moderating the debate. Rogan should absolutely host the debate (RFK included), but there’s no way in hell Biden would agree to it because both Trump and RFK would destroy him in this format.

This is actually a good idea but would never actually happen.

It doesn't even need to be Rogan. It needs to be long form discussion though. The current format is so mindlessly dumb and useless and anti-intellectual. It's all about talking points and zingers and due to the short time for responding, the moderators have enormous influence in manipulating the discourse.

If it’s all three of them, then obviously RFK is going to win that debate and will likely bring a Zip drive with him for Jamie to pull up some things proving his point.
If it’s just Trump vs Biden though, Trump wins that one walking away. Even if Biden’s dementia ceases during the debate, Biden’s lies are so overwhelming that he would get crushed in a debate like that. Trump’s lies on the other hand seem to be mostly petty and unimportant, and anything in his first term that he didn’t complete (namely the wall) he could blame on meddling bureaucrats that he now knows how to handle.

Yeah. The thing with Trump is he’s at least mentally quick enough to find a justification for what he said. Biden has no idea.

Let him host debate #2, but I don’t think he’s as competent or has a system going as well as Joe Rogan does to fact check the debaters in real time. Joe and Jamie are very good and quick with that.

RFK is a machine gun of statistics. People say they won’t debate him because he knows so much shite that it’s extremely difficult to fact check him in real time. Peter Hotez says he won’t debate RFK because of this, especially if RFK proves enough about Peter Hotez in front of his face, then he may be charged with some crimes.

Rogan, or someone like Friedman or Dave Smith hosting a debate would obviously be the best thing. Biden would never agree to it though, and neither would Trump, because they’re both cowards without any substance to back up what they say.
And I’m only kidding about Dave Smith as much as I would love for him to do it, because he would eviscerate them. He already did it once to RFK

You listen to his Part of the Problem podcast? There’s probably like 15 different podcasts I listen to regularly, but his is the one I will drop everything else to listen to when he has a new episode. I wish so bad he’d come to Memphis for a show, but I doubt there’s enough people in these parts with enough sense to show up and justify him attempting it.
