Yes. Just tell them your wife is a real estate agent. They won’t call back.

Not calls but I get letters in the mail seemingly every week that I just toss in the dumpster on my walk back from the mailbox to the house. I've seen the same exact letter from the same person at least 10 times in the last year or so. I halfway want to call the number the next time I get one and see what the hell they want my house for so badly. Part me is bothered by it because If I was interested in selling I would have listed it for sale already. How often do these letters and calls convince people to sell their house if they weren't already thinking about it?

Never been called before but I’ve been texted a few times. I did pretty much the same as you and told them I’m very interested in selling and told them my price was something like $750,000. So far I’ve not had to call a mover.

How can that be cost effective to customize it?

Not really that hard to customize correspondence. I managed the digital printing prepwork for mailings like you describe. Just takes the proper software (Variable Data Processing) and some data work to compile the lists and images. We mailed millions of pieces a month all customized to the recipient.

Today I got this one made to look like personal correspondence but asking about our LA house not the new one. Or a car/RV/etc. This one is more low end lol.

Too bad. Was willing to offer you 1.6M
But now since you’re laughing at us, I’ll offer 1.5M now.

Mostly text messages. I usually type my response into Google Translate and convert it to Russian or some other language, Copy/Paste and watch the confusion.

Yea, we did much more sophisticated work than your example. We have access to software that would randomize the characters to make it look like it was handwritten. Not all the e's, T's, etc looked the same.

I get calls and now am getting post cards with picture of a cute, all American couple with two cute dogs asking me to call to discuss selling them my house.

Used to have fun with the Indian callers but they seem to have tapered off..

We get formal letters because people can tell how much acreage we have and they are interested. We just sit back and wonder at the increase in price per acre almost annually.

Phone calls from strangers don't get answered anymore because of all the worthless calls that ignore the do not call lists.

I get them for my dad's house but not my own, it's odd. But I always hit them with 1.5M+

I get them all the time.

Tried the "Do you see a For Sale sign out front?" bit, but that didn't work because Jugdish was in Bombay.

I had a random guy stop and ask if i was willing to sell. He was searching for a new location for Family Dollar.

The offer was for what its appraised for.

I told him that was an insult and they made another offer +$25k to the first.

LOL!! NAW!!! HELL NAW!!!!

The one from the other day with the picture of our house on the envelope was the other end of the spectrum. I had already thrown that one away. I just thought it was funny that I got another today after commenting in this thread.

I used to get letters offering 20 cents on the dollar for the land I own around my house. Lately I've gotten a few offering 20% to 50% above what I think the value should be. Interesting, but no thanks just yet.

I never answer calls from people I don't know.

Google sells the images to any one who will buy. The home ownership is public record. We only had one We Buy Houses client. They would mass mail by zip code looking for leads. It only took one or two sellers for them to make money including marketing. Our main business was corporate rewards programs. Personalized to each level of status. Think casinos, ski resorts or retail customers. Mailings offered perks, etc for stays or purchases.
