frick some yellowjackets. I have a pier and beam house. The crawlspace has vents for when it gets hot. The outer wall of the crawl space is cinder blocks. Last spring, every time we’d walk out of the house, we’d get buzzed by the frickers. Apparently, they had found a small hole in the vent and made a massive nest under the house in the holes of the cinder blocks. I didn’t want to even take the chance of getting rid of them myself. I called a pest guy and he came dressed like someone from the movie Outbreak. When he started spraying, he was immediately covered in them.

One of life’s great joys is finding an active yellow jacket borrowteeming with insects, pouring a coke bottle full of gasoline down the hole, and never seeing another insect emerge.

Yellowjackets are underrated
Clearing my property on a tractor years ago I ran over a yellow jacket nest. Got stung about 6 times before I knew it.
One of the stings was on my hamstring and for years after if I touched that area it would still itch like crazy.
It’s crazy how their stings carry such a punch but I did get revenge that evening with a little diesel.

find that Wasp stings burn more
Seemed to swell more and hurt longer. But I rarely got hit by more than a wasp at a time. Yellowjackets form street gangs and team up on your arse.

My cousin and I pulled a kid and his puppy out the woods after the puppy somehow stirred up a nest.
Heard the kid screaming and went to check in him.
All four us got our arse torn up.
frick those things.

Those little dudes are evil.
Playing left field at a church softball game, two flew up my shorts and went to town. Felt like a pack of firecrackers going off in my fruit of the looms. All I could do is grab myself in the privates( trying to squish whatever it was in the process and finally did) and jump around like an idiot. You could imagine the funny looks I got.
I would have made the highlight reel for sure.

Like getting hit with hot lead, burns and stings at the same time, for a long time.

I have been hit hard by a swarm before when I stepped into a nest of them. Probably got over 30 stings on arms and legs.
I was so full of jacket venom I was completely dizzy and woozy for a day and a half.
I was really thinking I was maybe going to turn into a superhero or something.

There have been a few threads about them. I’m not sure of the species but they nest in the ground. They also get really pissed if you hit said nest with a weed eater or a bush hog. They also sting multiple times. It hurts. In my experience they are way worse than a yellow jacket.

"Ground hornet" = yellowjacket.

About ten years ago I was digging through an old box in my garage and uncovered a yellow jacket nest. Needless to say that was not a good day.

Yellowjackets only nest underground. Something else fricked you up that day, hornets or some other type of wasp.

Agreed. Last year one got me in the back of the head and my first thought was someone hit me with a rock. That shite hurt
