Try Guthrie's in Alabama. You'll discard the rest of chicken fingers.
Whole chicken parts goes to Popeyes

Popeyes is crazy expensive now though - to get actual chicken you pay more than a grass fed ribeye from Whole Foods

Southern Classic in the Shreveport/Mansfield area will always be the undisputed GOAT fast food fried chicken and if you’ve never had it then I pity you.

Cane’s can’t touch Chik-fil-a. If you think it does there is something wrong with your taste buds.

Popeye's also gives you a big jalapeno on the side - it's great
Church’s is the one with the jalapeños, never knew Popeyes did the same in some areas.
Houma’s chicken strip includes a Popeyes, CFA, Canes, Danny’s, Church’s, Rouses, Walmart, Krispy Krunchy Chicken in a gas station, a collection of little Mexican restaurants I have never visited, and a little further down you have the infamous Sonic all on Grand Caillou Road in East Houma.
Yesterday I brought up that CFA drive thru line at 12:45 was empty. Popeyes still had a line as did Canes. Now the new CFA does have a larger parking lot and dining area than the MLK CFA, so it would make sense if the CFA saw more inside customers than the drive thru line. Also, it is on the more industrial side of town where people would be more apt to go inside to eat.

Kinda apples and oranges to me.
Popeyes is the best but we get CFA much more often, it seems not as “bad” for you as Popeyes. Canes similar to CFA in that regard. I have no idea how they actually compare nutritionally but that’s the perception.

I do like Danny's but I cannot believe no one has mentioned the Blue Store.

They both offer basic/mediocre chicken meals. If you go to either place more than once a year, there is something wrong with your taste buds.

Legit AF.
Gotta put this Southern Classic joint on my list when I'm in Shreveport next month.

There's a Chick-fil-a that opened on Tulane and Carrollton a couple years ago that was once a Burger King. I passed there yesterday heading home from Costco and it was insane the amount of cars lined up to order.
They even had a cop directing traffic in the lot to keep it as orderly as possible. That place is a goldmine.

Cane's is great outside the state of LA. I'm still confused as to why they continue to use styrofoam containers here but in every other state they use hard plastic.
