Yep. Absolutely baiting him.
Not like there was any question, but today's bullshite make clear the fix is in.
This judge is going to let the prosecution do whatever the frick it wants and will actively deny any chance for Trump to mount a defense (of course, the absence of any actual definable criminal charge makes that impossible anyway).
There will be a conviction. He does not give a rat's arse that it will be tossed. His job is to make sure Trump is a convicted felon for the ads for the election.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but I probably won’t be too surprised if his actions don’t meet with your expectations or approval. Just a hunch.

After the blatant malfeasance of Merchan today (specifically, sustaining an objection to include Stormy's own testimony as well as sustaining the objection when the defense asked her about her contradictory statements she's made when she's stated she did not have a sexual encounter with Trump), his jailing would set off a fire-tsunami of support.
I mean, you know it's bad when CNN's talking heads are focused on how bad Stormy was for the prosecution.

I'd assert, being able to 'press the flesh' with the working man NYers going to and from Court (and have it televised) and to throw a few bombs here and there at this idiot judge (in the face of his inane "gag order") is probably about as perfect "campaigning" for him at the present moment as anything else he could be doing.

Yeah I’m extremely reluctant to make any leaps like that, but I’m willing to make an exception in this case. They’ve already fricked up so badly with all of this as it stands….. but that would be taking it to even a new unprecedented level, and it would likely be consequential enough to move a needle that “big” i.e. the difference in pushing Trump that last little step to victory.
