I have 2 XL mavericks. 2.0 ecoboost both have had no issues so far.
I average 29 MPG in both.

Total spent for two vehicles, $44K, WITH TTL $48K

You can get a used street legal K truck

Can't in Texas unless it's for agricultural use. Dumb at face value but seeing how people drive out here it's probably for the best.

demand. The same reason Honda stopped offering their cheapest car .. the 2 door civic.

You can blame politicians if you want, but if car companies thought there was a market for shite trucks, they would make them available. Politicians are cheap.

Because the owners of this country don't want that /Carlin

You might - get this - want to buy one, and their EV fraud is directly undermined if you do.

The Dem leaders and their media, press and academic allies are lying to us, stealing from us, and manipulating the public messaging, always.

They think they are smarter than us and better than us, so they construct and mutually amplify manufactured crisis after manufactured crisis in order to scare a largely uninformed populace while they steal money and power and try to control our behavior. That's all this drama is about.

That seems about $4,000 too high, even in perfect condition.
Great car though.

While I'm in directional agreement with what you say - not total, but you're on the right track for sure - that has nothing to do with the OP's Toyota being completely unsaleable in the US market. Anyone here who actually drove one wouldn't want it.

We have 2 main work crews. One is comprised of 6 or 7 “Americans” and the other is comprised mainly of legal immigrants from, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and those people work circles around the Americans. They work twice as fast and make us the most money.

The EPA and modern crash safety standards killed off the little trucks we had in the 80s and early 90s. MPG requirements are or were calculated by wheelbase and that forced all the little trucks off the market. Best we can do now is midsize and minivans with beds like the Maverick and Ridgeline.

The Yotas, Nissan Hardbodys, Isuzus, Mazdas, and even the Mighty Maxs were just about unkillable and cheap.

I'd buy one today if I could. Not sure why every freaking truck in this country has to be $60K+.

Maybe two years ago. You can get a brand new full size double cab Silverado for around 36k with the rebates out of Texas. My coworker pulled it up, I couldn’t believe it.

Yeap they are good little vehicles.

If you were able to grab a hybrid I’m sure they are loving it rt now with gas prices.

Toyota as a brand is the best seller in the current market. But as single models the Maverick and Tesla Y.
