SS is virtually the ONLY government program operating in surplus in 2024

SS was tapped out in LBJ administration whereby all invested in gov’t bonds. The “trust” is essentially full of “IOUs” it’s not a bank vault filled with cash. That money was spent by your gov’t a loooong time ago

Sounds like you want Americans that paid into the system to go without and die of hunger. Isn't that a small form of genocide?

Take care of your people here and quit sending billions to other countries. It's time for other countries to get their shite together and take care of their own. If they do not like that suggestion, then frick them. It's not our responsibility to let them bleed us dry

Social Security (and the country) going tits up is more likely than global warming killing everyone.

Next recession and stock market crash, SS's "Trust Fund" should be invested in blue-chip stocks. The worst place to invest money is the government.

Everything we have paid Ukraine would not pay social security benefits for two months.

How exactly can we run out of money? Do you know where "money" comes from! It is called thin air.

We need to let it end. Stop subsidizing people who don’t plan for retirement and leave our paychecks alone

While I don’t even have projected social security payments in my retirement income spreadsheet, I’d still really like to get it.

That’s on pedo Joe’s list along with the 44.6% inheritance tax he wants to propose, if I recall. Or not far behind it. I’ve been seriously considering cashing mine out at 59 1/2, in 2 years, pay my home off, and then invest it elsewhere and in hard goods such as property, gold. At this point, why wait another 6 years. The market is likely going to tank anyway with what they are doing to our country. If the whispers become louder, maybe sooner and pay the penalty bf they steal it.

Don't worry. They'll raise taxes.

Great. Just reimburse me what I put in at market interest rate and we’ll call it good.

While it was the furthest thing from my mind at the time at 23, I'm so glad I wasn't required to invest in that Ponzi Scheme.

Well that is 8 years for me. 8 more years than I ever thought I would get.

In 2035, when they stop the program, I will be reporting a large uninsured theft loss as a tax deduction.

Just give me back even half what I put in and I’m good.

Another scare tactic from democrats. If you don't vote for us you will not have any SS. Typical. They pull this every time in midterms and a Presidential election.
