St. Stanislaus just drug tested all of their boarders and not sure how many they have; maybe 75-100??? All but 2 failed and that’s factual.

Well, yeah. But, that’s a fraction of the number of boarders we had mid 90’s. Day students are the bread and butter now.

Drugs were an automatic expulsion.

We are in the digital age now, so it's not unexpected. That's just a symptom of something else going on.

I used to play basketball at that place when I was a teenager. Our team would go play an exhibition game at their gym. We would warm up in an empty gym then just before the game starts, armed guards would escort the residents into the gym. They would file into the bleachers in orderly fashion. They weren't a great team, we won every time. The kids would be cheering loudly for our team as ridicule to their class/cell mates. Pretty wild experience.

I'd love to really sit and chat with you about an hour before you judge me. BTW my son is adopted and I'm sure both of his parents were on loads of drugs, including his mom when she was pregnant.

Bet you would be the same person complaining if he becomes a criminal and I didn't do anything to get him help.

I went to boarding school as a freshman in HS. I went to a shitty boarding school in Tennessee, and absolutely hated it as it was more of a day school with a boarding component. I transferred to Deerfield in my sophomore year and I had an awesome experience.

Just being honest, boarding schools in the south sort of suck. There are good boarding schools here, but they are few and far between. My daughter went to Baylor and had an incredible experience, but even at Baylor, the day/boarding student ratio is way out whack.

IMHO, if you’re sending your kid to boarding school for disciplinary reasons, you’re doing it wrong.

I have a good friend that teaches at McCallie. CSB

Somehow, I don't think the OP's shitty kid is McCallie or Baylor material.
