The Philadelphia 76ers are the favorites to land Jimmy Butler in a potential trade, per

Huh. Vegas usually knows something, I just don't see Jimmy Butler wanting to be here at all, and I don't see it being a fit beyond that. Could be they just see us with one of the better assets.
I'd love to have a dog like him to tell this team what a bunch of pussies they are, though.
Its not gonna happen, but its at least interesting

I think they see us having assets and being a home for injured players.

Yeah, we have one of the better assets that will be available, and Miami likes to take guys to try and win now. Makes sense they would have us like that, but I don't see it being a thing.
Not sure Butler even makes any sense at all for us.

With what we are doing and who we have? I agree with you it is a bad fit.
If we didn’t have Trey waiting to move from the sixth man position to starting 2, it would be a better fit but we would still need a point and a center.

He really doesn't. If Miami doesn't want to pay him, why should the Pels want to? Also, it seems like he and Zion would have the same conflicting "who's really #1" issue. I wouldn't even want Jimmy for free. Him calling soft players soft doesn't work, see Wiggins/KAT in Minnesota.
If we're irresponsibly throwing money at an older wing it should be Paul George.

I'd rather they make Bam available and we trade BI for Bam.

Where does he even play in a starting lineup? If you are trading BI so you can start Trey...are you having a backcourt of Butler and Herb?
When teams start getting more aggressive defensively to end the season and in the playoffs, how are you even crossing midcourt?

At least Jimmy has that alpha dog in him. BI is as Beta as they come.

Yeah, so would everyone except the heat

He hasn't played in at least 65 games in a single season in 6 years. No thanks.

I love butler but he may be one of the worst fits next to zion

I love Jimmy Butler. But he doesn't make sense with this roster.
I don't want this to happen at all, but trading Zion for Butler would make more sense than trading BI for him.

Is Jimmy really a dog though? I always though of him as one of the fakest tough guys in the league. Sure he yelled at Wiggins and KAT once, but he’s also hurt all the time, bitches a lot, and flops all the time

I would love this from a leadership standpoint, but highly doubt it will happen because it's a bad fit with the current roster. He would instantly be the team leader before stepping a foot in the building.

Do we even like a Derozen/ Lavine/ Butler/ Jamal Murray type trade?
I'd almost rather take picks and cap space for a rebuild instead of one of these guys who will cost alot and may/ may not fit the system. Not saying all 4 of these are the same style of player. I just think they all have a similar impact/ ceiling with this roster + age + etcc
Its just not an easier fit or look than Mitchell/ Dejonte/ Allen/ Ayton/ Bam/ Turner/ KAT
