Who doesn't have an equal opportunity in this country?

I researched this years ago and haven't since, so I'll use that example. It's still true.

I got the high school course catalogs for two public school districts — one a small district close to where I was at the time and the other a large district about a hundred miles away. At the time, the state had just mandated each high school district offer 38 core courses.

The small district couldn't even offer the core courses. They didn't have teachers for the advanced math/science courses.

The large district had 140 courses in its high school. All kinds of things. It was like a junior college.

Which graduating senior do you think was better prepared to succeed in college? (This isn't a discussion about trade school.)

The opportunity wasn't the same. That's one example of what I was talking about.

You CAN'T be serious.

To see, answer a question: Do you believe that people who think other people are inferior based on the color of their skin hate those lesser people?

I define that as hate, and I think most folks do.

I think your understanding of "equal opportunity" is different from most. In your example, the two different school districts - were the kids/families in the small town school district forced to remain in that small town?

Equal opportunity doesn't mean everything is equal for everyone.

Out of curiosity, what percent of America hates black people the way you describe above? I'm not looking for precision but a sense of scale. My own opinion is that there is far less real racism in this country than there is demand for racism on the Left.

Is racism substantially less prevalent, substantially more prevalent, or is it about the same as compared to 50 years ago?

Did both graduating seniors have the opportunity to sit for the ACT or SAT? Did they both have the opportunity to apply for college?

It sounds like you want to punish the senior who came from the large district.

Equality of opportunity is good. Equality of outcome is communism.

They consider any criticism of a minority to be racism.

Your example certainly explains why "broke as frick" rural districts in the delta (poor rural blacks) and Appalachia (poor rural whites) contain kids who are straight up left behind, but it absolutely doesn't explain well-funded, big city schools like Baltimore and Washington D.C. producing illiterate "graduates". Something else is going on and it is neither "racism" nor "lack of opportunity".

The details of my life are quite inconsequential.... But very well, where do I begin?

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a 15-year-old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet.

My father would womanize; he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes, he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament...

My childhood was typical: summers in Rangoon... luge lessons... In the spring, we'd make meat helmets... When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds — pretty standard, really. At the age of 12, I received my first scribe. At the age of 14, a Zoroastrian named Vilmer ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum — it's breathtaking... I suggest you try it.

Ok, If you don't like the "I've got mine, screw everyone else" mindset, then why are you ok with that kids are getting demolished mentally by this whole gender ideology BS?

Seems like you're saying "screw everyone else, I've got mine" when it comes to kids being set up for a lifetime of depression and anxiety.

Then, on the flipside, if you don't care how parents raise their kids, why would you care how people spend/save their money? It's their choice, right? it doesn't involve you, correct?

I just don't understand how you can start from first principles and come to such wildly different views on choices in one area of life vs another.

I got the belt or a switch when I did wrong as a child. No beating, but I had good parents that kept me in check. That is lacking today.

I had to go outside and get my own switch.

You' tend to listen to your parents after a while.
My parents were good to me.

No. I got a spanking that didn't feel good. That's how you correct things. They never beat me.
