Jarmon sided with the defense attorneys, suggesting it was wrong of state patrol to recognize the suspects from social media.
Oh FFS. People from Jan 6 were rounded up in droves doing the above.

That's not true at all. I'm one of the older ones here and I'm 45.

So... it was wrong to recognize suspects from social media?
Now tell me about Jan. 6th. How'd they get many of those suspects?

What the hell is she wearing on her head?
I may be showing my age, but having three kids and 8 grandkids, I'd say it's and old style cloth baby diaper.
And judging by what it's trying to hold in, it's got a over-full load and it's a 'blowout'!!

In Seattle?? They want this up there. They should just go back and block it for a few days.

They highway blockers had the wherewithal to check and see what was acceptable on that certain day it appears.
It changes so much you really have to stay on top of it.

You're not
There are dudes in their 70s and 80s who post here. Lots of Social Security recipients post.
There wasn't a replacement of young posters on the social boards after 2008-2010 or so. The poli board has always skewed older. If those posters in 2010 were 20, they're 34 now.

Seattle, maybe, but they were blocking SeaTac, which is the only major airport in a 500 mile radius.

Is she saying that the State didn't prove these defendants were the actual people who did it and that police were wrong to only use social media to identify them? If that is the reason she sided with the defense then I'm on the fence about it but since guilty beyond a reasonable doubt is the standard I lean towards being ok with that.. If she is saying that police simply shouldn't have been able to use social media at all even though they knew, or previously suspected, this was them then I'm against this judgement.
What’s the issue with recognizing them from social media?
A sizable number of protestors in those liberal strongholds are “serial protestors”, they’re available anytime someone calls for bodies.

On top of that, im sure local PD can subpoena cell phone records to triangulate people to these locations to further solidify they were there.
Especially if these dumbfricks were posting it from the same phones and had geo-locations being marked in photos they posted of this.

When the justice system purposely refuses to uphold the law, into the vacuum will step the people. When you promote lawlessness from the bench, you deserved to be drug into the streets and made an example of.

If they weren't able to be identified at the scene and their identification is conjecture based on their social media posts? Yes, I would say it's the State's responsibility to prove the defendant was there and did what they are being accused of. Prove who it was beyond a reasonable doubt. It's why leftist wear masks.
J6 is a political witch hunt, gulag for a large number of them who did nothing more than be present. They should have never been convicted and should be released and compensated. However, there is a potential difference here because they might not have been wearing masks in photos so they were easily recognizable and didn't require conjecture. Again though, just being at J6 was not a crime and every one of them should be released and compensated for malicious prosecution.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it but the State has the burden to prove the defendant is guilty. If they weren't arrested at the scene, were wearing masks or there is no photographic/video evidence of them being there at all, so that they are not easily identifiable. I don't think someone should be convicted if it can't be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that they committed the crime.

Being a serial protestor isn't a crime, in and of itself. Would you want to be arrested solely because you have a connection with some group or would you want the State to prove you participated in the criminal act?

My problem with it is FBI and DOJ would come up with some terrorist or denial of civil liberties BS to hunt conservatives doing the same thing.
Posted on 5/2/24 at 12:48 pm to Night Vision
Now use the same logic for id'ing 1-6 protestors from their social media accounts.

This is why this country is not meant for everyone. Its meant for productive, moral people. Unproductive, unmoral people use our civil protections to persecute their neighbors and get away with it. Its a social contract...that is now being broken daily
