Wealthy white Louisiana residents win right to form their own city

Is this going to create a huge problem for the rest of Baton Rouge? Part of Baton Rouge is setting up a new city called St. George. I would see Baton Rouge become one of the dangerous cities in the USA in the near future if St. George breaks off from the rest of Baton Rouge.

Jokes on them… BR is already one of the most dangerous cities in the country.

St George was an unincorporated area that has never been part of Baton Rouge.

Can I get an old German dentist poking around in SWB’s mouth asking “Is it safe?”

This seems to be a fact that has been very difficult for many. Nobody is splitting off anything. And there are black people that live in St George and crackers like me just across the line in BR.

How did the Mall of Louisiana and the Siegen mall area get squeezed out of the deal? Was that some sort of compromise?

That is not what the article talked about. The problem is there will be less money for Baton Rouge. The article is all about the money from taxes going to St. George. There will be no more sharing the taxes with Baton Rouge.

Isn’t it already one of the most dangerous even before St George breaks off?

I wonder why

The article misses the fricking point then because the money is for St George and BR is currently stealing it.
A poor area stealing from a less poor area doesn’t make it right. Because frankly that poor area is poor BECAUSE the people there are too fricking lazy and shiftless to better themselves.

Want much sharing as I understand.
More like taking and St. George getting nothing in return.

BR was stealing much of the tax money from StG and funding services that didn't serve the areas they were taking the money from. It was slimy as hell. They are mad they'll lose the money they were stealing.

Explain why you think an unincorporated area that was not officially part of the city should be paying taxes to the city? Sounds a lot like taxation without representation doesn’t it?
I’m sure you won’t answer
