Seems like one camp thinks he would turn it down out of pride the other side says trump wouldnt offer. What do you believe?

No idea

Seems high risk for DeSantis though

Candidly I think even you guys would have to admit that it’s anybody’s guess as to a) whether Ron could stay in trump’s good graces for 4 years and b) what things will look like for MAGA Republicans after a possible Trump term, particularly if Trump is riding off into the sunset at that point

He would turn it down for multiple reasons, the least of which is pride. The VP pick will be someone who is willing to take the political risk for elevation to the public eye. Desantis actually uses policy for political gain. He and Trump are like oil and water. Trump needs someone who is as comfortable under the spotlight as he is.

I wouldn't take it if I was DeSantis. Governor of Florida is a better job than VP

Not worth it for Desantis.

In 2028, Desantis will have a fresh start with his campaign. In 2024, he didn't do it for me.. but I don't hate him. He just chose the wrong approach, imo.

He was quiet, meanwhile, trump was scratching, punching, kicking, and slinging mud, desperately trying to win the primary. He wanted that shite. Desantis, didn't seem to want it as much as trump did.

What if Trump gives RDS the offer he supposedly gave Kasich - you are basically the Jr President - very empowered on domestic issues and I'll do the very high level stuff plus foreign policy

Don would not offer. Desantis is far too Conservative for his current plan. He will pick a moderate because of the Abortion issue. It’s clear that Trumps plan is to capture the center.

I think despite the bluster Ron would likely accept. It’s hard to pass that up.

Regardless, it’s not happening. This is a good thing for them both politically, to pretend to make nice and support each other.

Don will pick someone moderate from a battleground state that is also no threat to him.

The only actual Conservative I could see him choosing is Ron Johnson, and he’s really not That conservative. WI would be an essential state to steal.

No thanks.

I want Florida to secede and him to be our king.

No way would Desantis pin his future political hopes on Donald Trump.

I hope Trump stays far away from DeSantis. If Trump wins I think Vivek has the best chance of getting the support of Trump voters in the next election.

We no longer need lawyers in political positions, they have proven themselves unworthy of the American people’s trust.

Not out of pride, out of survival.
Also, why would he associate with people like Roger Stone who called his wife a C**T? He’s not Ted Cruz.
